Juara Holding Group has published, through its Komodo Luxury brand, the Komodo Yacht Charter Market Report 2026 — a set of charter-rate statistics drawn from the brand’s own vessel directory and released for anyone to cite.
What Was Published
The report computes rates from 179 Komodo-based vessels listed in the Komodo Luxury fleet directory. Of those, 62 publish rates in US dollars, and those 62 vessels form the sample behind every figure in the report. Across that sample the median rate is USD 7,225 per night, and rates run from USD 1,800 to USD 33,350 per night.
The report also breaks the same sample down three ways:
- by vessel class
- by cabin count
- by overall length
The methodology — what was counted, what was excluded and how the sample was drawn — is published alongside the figures, and the dataset is refreshed quarterly. Inclusion in the directory does not indicate ownership: Komodo Luxury owns and operates nine vessels, and the remainder of the directory consists of partner and third-party vessels working the same waters.
Why It Matters
Charter rates around Labuan Bajo are normally quoted privately, one enquiry at a time. A traveller comparing three quotes has had no public reference point for whether any of them sits near the middle of the market, and a journalist or researcher writing about Indonesian charter tourism has had no citable figure at all. Publishing the sample size, the method and the spread — rather than a single number — lets readers judge the data on its own terms and reuse it with attribution. The quarterly refresh means figures can be checked against a stated date instead of being treated as permanent.
For reference, the company’s own private whole-boat charters are priced between USD 1,800 and USD 30,000 per night, a range that sits inside the wider market spread the report describes.
“We publish this because the numbers are useful to people who are not our customers — travel advisors, reporters, other operators. We are a participant in this market, not a neutral referee, so the method and the sample size sit next to the figures and anyone is welcome to check our arithmetic.” — Agung Afif, Founder and CEO of Juara Holding Group
